Feeleez!

I am always looking for ways to improve my home classroom and of course...my parenting approach:) For me, life is about improving, learning from mistakes and moving beyond those mistakes to make myself a better person and mother, partner, etc.

I came across Feeleez a few months ago while searching for products that promote natural parenting. I cannot express how much I love this product! We have been using the game, the poster and the buttons in our home for a few months and I already see its effects on our family.

If you are looking to increase the communication between you and your children, between siblings or even with your spouse this game gets everybody talking and feeling! With vibrant, kid friendly "characters", Feeleez comes to life through games like memory, and so many others! Our latest was when we were eating lunch and singing "if you're happy and you know it"...well I replaced "happy" with other feeling words we are learning like: frustrated, cranky, worried, shy, etc., etc. and paired it with another word we learned by playing Feeleez. My kids loved it! (and so did I - LOL)

School is here!

Most of you probably know that we homeschool, so these past few weeks we have been getting our newly renovated school room ready. It is finally ready and now I am still organizing curriculum for both the kids. My middle son who is now 3.5 years old has really shown interest in learning to write and read - - he has always loved books and usually you can find him cuddled up in a corner turning the pages of one of my Birth or Parenting Books. He loves looking at pictures, but even just "reading" them. One day he said to me "Mom, it smells so good!". And he loves the feel of the pages of the Bible when we go to hotels! No matter where we are he finds books to read! So, this year we are working on writing and letter sounds and the usual Unit studies for him.

Now onto business.....lots of new stock has come in as we promote our Litterless Lunch Fundraisers locally. Also...we just re-stocked our All-in-One Cleanser by Canadian company called Bare Organics. This product is all natural, and organic and is suitable for people with skin conditions like eczema or rosacea. I have used it on all my kids and even in their hair! We are doing some shows this month and will be travelling throughout Northern Ontario, and are even sponsoring our local Holistic Health Harvest Conference...so come and see us there!

Beco Stocking

Well, we received our NEW Beco Butterfly II stocking and have tested this carrier out while walking. We have an older Beco that both my husband and I love, but this one is just as good. Although my hubby did not like the idea of trying a new one - I convinced him. He is tough to break any habit-especially a babywearing one! He has a favourite!

At first I was a bit intimidated by all the buckles on this one, but really once I had it on, the buckles all made sense for the function and safe use of this carrier:) I love the idea that it has an infant insert (although our son is now 1 year!), and also that you can place your toddler in a pocket to keep them secure as you move them from your front to the back. Since I wear him mostly on my back it was great - although we are both used to the "throw 'em over your shoulder method" by now.

Wow I can't believe it's been that long since my last post:)
We have been busy this summer with the store and with life in general:) We are trying to reduce and recycle a lot of things in the house to get ready for a new school year (we homeschool and need more room!) I am hoping to have an entire school room in the house just for school work - because this year I am hoping to do a bit more hands on stuff with our youngest. And our oldest could probably use her own area since she will have two little brothers always following her:)

Now onto business...

Lots of things happening behind the scenes with our website. We are working hard to get our new site and shopping area ready for a big launch, so stay tuned!

Brand NEW to our store is the Beco Baby Carrier - another great product - and ideal for parents that want to wear their newborn but are intimidated by a wrap style carrier. This is a soft pack carrier and gorgeous prints and materials are used to make this carrier. These will be added to our online shop by Monday July 27th.

More Gro Baby Just Arrived!

We have been busy unpacking loads of boxes! We are also preparing for our trip to Sudbury for the Baby Treasure Sale this Sunday at the Caruso Club. Visit our booth - #1 - to learn more about how to Raise Your Family Green! We also have a free gift for those of you that visit us.

Now....just in are the NEW Vanilla Gro Baby with Snaps! Who would have thought the Gro Baby system could have got any better? Well....for those of you that love snaps like I do - this diaper is now completely flawless in my opinion!

We also just added to the website Fuzzi Bunz Perfect Size diapers and OneSize diapers with the new Hip Snaps! These include one microfiber insert as well, and the new prints are simply adorable:)

Arriving next week are more Rumparooz OneSize diapers in all colours and snap and velcro!
